Who we are
Huang Laoshi Mandarin Centre is located in Cape Town, South Africa. The founder and his wife are originally from Taiwan and are now South African citizens.
Our centre offers a diverse range of Mandarin Chinese courses, including private lessons, group courses and E-Tutor online distance-learning programmes. We also host various cultural activities, such as online cooking classes, tea parties, Chinese chess lessons, Chinese calligraphy lessons, Chinese painting lessons and Chinese paper-cutting lessons.
Huang Laoshi Mandarin Centre has been a legally registered institution in Cape Town since February 2014. The centre focuses primarily on three categories of services: Mandarin Chinese courses, offered both online and in person; cultural activities; and merchandise. Our goal is to introduce the beauty of the Chinese language and culture to people around the world.

Tony Huang is a highly qualified Mandarin Chinese teacher. He builds his learners’ confidence and adapts his teaching to suit their individual pace. Tony also knows when to slow down or speed up, making each lesson both effective and enjoyable.
